Getting red lips perfect is easy once you know how to do it! So channel your inner Hollywood starlet and get the red lipstick out.

Using a lip liner pencil, carefully draw around the outline of your lips. Try not to go off your lips (and onto your skin) and this can look messy. The slower you do this, the easier it will be to get it perfect.

Fill in your lips with the same lip liner pencil-this will give you a base for your lipstick and will make the colour last much longer on your big day.

using a lip brush, apply your red lipstick (which should be the same colour as your lip liner) to your lips. Use small, gentle strokes to avoid getting any lipstick on your skin, as red lipstick is a pain to clean up!

Smear a small amount of red lipgloss on the center of your top and bottom lip. This will make your lips appear to be plumper and will add to the long lasting colour.

-Make sure you have a smooth surface to start off with- keep your lips soft with a lip balm. -Get rid of any dead skin on your lips by scrubbing them with a toothbrush before your big day. This will stop your lips from looking dry. -Make sure you pick the right shade of red for your skin tone! Fair girls tend to suit reds with blue undertones, so try to use a cherry red lipstick. Brides with medium-dark skin can wear deeper shades of reds with brown bases, such as a vibrant fire engine red. If you’re a dark skinned bride, then use a red with a pink or orange undertone with it-Poppy and strong fuchsias look great on you.
